As we continue in our series Colossians: Christ In You - The Hope Of Glory, if you go in to most bookstores that sell Christian books today, you will find books that teach, growth by “rule-keeping and discipline”, growth through “feelings and encounters”, growth through “methods and strategies”, and “growth through politics.” All of these things are a sort of slight of hand, that distract us from Christ. Paul writes today, to remind us that the hope of the gospel is not found in spiritual programs, but in Christ our savior! He writes to tell us not to become distracted.
