In this very special episode, Hannah sits down with her friend of 15 years, Sue Fowler Dacey to chat about her mum, Mary Fowler, who was the first woman to graduate with a degree in engineering at McGill and all of Quebec. Mary graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1946 after 4 years of being the only woman in her classes, and a full year after high school advocating to be allowed into the program despite the fact "that girls don't do engineering". We are grateful to Sue for sharing stories of her mom's experience and grateful to Mary for her tenacious and stubborn spirit.
