Steelers Training Camp Position Battles, Alex Highsmith Trade Rumors, & The Return Of Dirty Red
As training camp rolls around, we take a look at two different kinds of battles. Battles for playing time between position-mates, and battles between position foes ase the offense and defense battles it. Both types of battles will tell a TON about who plays where and how long. Can the rookies (Fautanu, Frazier, Wilson, & Wilson) secure starting roles?
We shine a light on outside linebacker Alex Highsmith. He has outperformed his draft position all while being overshadowed, and beaten to the quarterback by TJ Watt on a regular basis. We also discuss the possibility of him being bait in a bid to secure Brandon Aiyuk.
Finally, 2016 Steeler draft pick Tyler "Dirty Red" Matakevich returns to the Steel City after 4 years in Buffalo. What does this tell us about how the Steelers' feel about the ILB room and, in particular, the health and recovery of Cole Holcomb?
