Dr. Devin Swiner is an amazing scientist and scicommer! After finishing her PhD this spring, she began as a senior scientist at Merck this summer. Dr. Devin teaches us about grad school, dissertating, and going into industry in this episode. (My favorite part: when she talks about your dissertation being for you and finding new research interests). Dr. Swiner has also done a lot of work in science communication and helped found both #BlackInChem & @MacScientists. Listen and follow her!

Support the showOn today's episode, Kristen Reynolds and talk about her full circle journey in STEM, the importance of advocating for yourself, and not being afraid of leaving a program that's not serving you or treating you well. I hope you enjoy! BTW: we do discuss police violence from minute 16 -17. We do not go into detail and I think it provides valuable context, but I want to provide this content warning.
