Rich Marcello is going into his second year as the Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach at Southern New Hampshire University. This past fall Rich's Woman's team won their first Northeast-10 Conference Championship and their First NCAA East Regional Championship, qualifying them for the NCAA Cross Country National Championships. Rich has coached at the D1, D2, D3, and High School levels as well. Outside of coaching, Rich is an adjunct professor in the Dept. of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science at Sacred Heart University (Fairfield, CT), where he went to school. At Sacred Heart University, he was two-year team captain of the cross country and track programs, and ran school records at 5000m and 10,000m. Rich graduated from Sacred Heart with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science in 2012 and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition in 2014 and still holds his CSCS. Rich is a native a Scituate, Rhode Island.
