Stephanie Kelton is a Stony Brook University professor of economics and author of the NYT-Best-Selling book The Deficit Myth: Modern Monetary Theory and the Birth of the People's Economy. Professor Kelton was also the former chief economist on the U.S. Senate Budget Committee.
