Stephanie Price & Bia Hamed – Digital Divas

Matt is joined by Bia Hamed and Stephanie Price to discuss the importance of girls in STEM and the organization Digital Divas. Bia single handedly managed the success of Digital Divas which now reaches more than 1,000 girls a year. Stephanie joined Digital Divas as a guest speaker and has grown her presence with the organization each year.

The goals of the Digital Divas program is to:

Introduce middle and high school girls to careers in STEM

Recruit more girls into STEM majors in post-secondary education

Give access to underrepresented female populations in STEM

Breakdown gender stereotypes regarding STEM majors & careers

Encourage ethical and safe behaviors in texting, emailing, social media, and online.
