On this week's episode of The Silver Lining Phoenix, our Kiwi friend, Stephen Jenkins, joins us to talk about his unconventional marathon journey. Although Stephen has autism, he decided that instead of letting his circumstance own him, Stephen would own his circumstance by finding a team of individuals who would support him and his mission. So, he found running guides who ran with him from the initial training days to the final race day. Today, we’ll hear from two of those guides, Amanda Mueller and Katy Whitford, and let them explain why they joined in this adventure in running around the world with both Stephen and Team Achilles.
We hope you enjoy hearing Stephen, Amanda and Katy’s story and why they support Team Achilles’ mission to transform the lives of people with disabilities through athletic programs and social connection.
