This week I'm chatting to Irish rock bassist Watchy. He is an exciting player who not only releases solo material, holds down the low end in Irish metal behemoths Strangers with Guns but also is one part of a two piece rock band Stitch Jones. Stitch Jones are a drums and bass combo that make a a brilliant racket where Watchy uses effects to create a full sound.

This week I'm chatting to Cormac Moore who has been holding down the low end in the house band for The Late Late show since 2009. The show is Ireland's biggest chat show and attracts world famous guests. Cormac has also managed/played in numerous tribute bands and was a founding member of the Camembert Quartet, a musical Comedy Act that started in 2000, made a couple of albums and became the House-band on the Television Show “Tubridy Tonight’ 2004-2009 and the Late Late Show Houseband 2009-2020. Cormac took up double bass in the last 5 years and it was really interesting to hear about his journey on the BIG bass as well other nuggets of information from a long career as a professional bassist.

This week I'm chatting to Los Angeles native, electric bass player, Nick Campbell who is reinventing the jazz genre for this generation. Flipping traditional conventions on their head, Nick’s unique penchant for superimposing triadic patterns over static harmony has brought a modern twist to “getting modal,” creating a distinctive yet eccentric sound of his own.
Mirroring the musical inclusivity of his work, Nick has taken the stage with music artists of all genres. From traditional jazz bands to pop music sensations, he can be seen performing with Pomplamoose, Scary Pockets, Charlie Puth, Vulfpeck, Meghan Trainor, Raquel Rodriguez, Nigel Hall, Josh Smith, Kirk Fletcher, Michael Mayo and Moonchild (to name a few) and composing original music with bands such as Shrek Is Love and Bear Attack.
His debut album "Art" will be out in 2022...ive heard it and its awesome so make sure to check that out
