To kick things off this time around, we talk about the current state of the Twilight fandom, our experiences with it, and how it seems to have become the equivalent of an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting with everyone sharing the same few anecdotes over and over and over again.
We then dive into a divided discussion on these two chapters, ranging from a truly head-scratchin’ setup in the car crash scene to the comedy of errors that is the entirety of Chapter 4. This episode also brings up an issue we’ve been aware of since before we started this reread: the fact that Bella has no strong personal ties to any humans in her life.
More or less, we’ve decided this book is not good, but boy, we’re having fun with how bad it is.
