Rotorua will be bringing the fun for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they visit.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's itinerary has been released for their trip at the end of next month.

The couple will arrive in Wellington, visit Abel Tasman National Park and Auckland before heading to Rotorua.

Mayor Steve Chadwick told Mike Hosking there will be a Maori component with the iwi and some fun as well.

"They will get a mix-up of activities which is very exciting, it will hopefully involve the lakes or forests."
