April 21, 2025 ~ Lucy Ann Lance is joined by the Veterans Honor Guard of Washtenaw County consisted of Retired Military Veterans Steve Polgar (Air Force), Ralph Harris (Army), and John Kinzinger (Army). If you have witnessed an honor guard at a military Veteran's funeral, you know how powerfully moving the ceremony is from the precise folding of the flag to the haunting sound of the gun salute and the playing of taps on the bugle. Locally, the Veterans Honor Guard of Washtenaw County provides an honorable military funeral for deceased local Veterans. However, the Veterans conducting these services are aging out and they fear relatively few are following behind to take up the mantle.
