Steve is a survivor; having survived a 2-year battle with Leukemia and at one point told he had less than a 5% chance to be live in a year. He survived the depth of despair from the breakup of his first family and a 30-year battle with Chronic Hepatitis C that nearly required him to get a liver transplant. He is the father of 4 kids, 3 boys and 1 girl, and grandfather to 2 kids (1 girl, 1 boy).
