Novella is best known for his involvement in the skeptical movement. He is also a Fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry and GWUP.  He hosts the podcast ‘The Skeptics Guide to the Universe” as well as his blogs ‘Neurologica’ and ‘Science-Based Medicine”.
