We all live in two types of uncomfortable tension – apostolic and prophetic. There is power in being both idealistic and realistic, and there is power in looking back and looking forwards. How we steward these two kinds of tension shapes our perspective and therefore our leadership. We lose out if we minimise or eliminate these tensions.
