The word "stewardship" isn't common for us today. Here's what it means - it's the job of supervising or taking care of something. In short - being a steward is to serve as a caretaker for something that was never really yours in the first place. It's an important definition for us to understand because the bible teaches us that we are actually not owners of anything here on earth, but instead we are to consider ourselves stewards.
