Below are some notes from the episode:
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 NLT
4 Habits to Strengthen My Connection with God, Part 1 of 3
Habit #1: Take time to talk to him
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6,7 (NLT)
* Thank him for what He’s already done
* Tell him what you need
“Lord, every morning you hear my voice. Every morning, I tell you what I need, and I wait for your answer.” Psalm 5:3 (NCV)
* Repent and ask for forgiveness
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalm 139: 23-24 (NLT)
* Ask for Guidance
Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)
Some good verses to pray are Psalms 119: 30-40
* Listen & write down what he tells you
“Then the Lord said to me, ‘Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.’” Habakkuk 2: 2 (NLT)
