If you could imagine Gang of Four, with a psychedelic hippie female vocalist, you would have The New Up. (Only sounding still cooler than that). They are a psychedelic electro rock band out of San Francisco, who work as medical researchers in the day, and create metaphysically inspiring music at night. In short, they are REALLY SMART PEOPLE. 

The hope to inspire people to think about change, and where to start with it, and they sound incredible, with enough familiar sounds to build on, but still being completely original, The New Up are releasing some great new material shortly, and I got to talk to them about it. Emily and Noah talked to me about the ways they find inspiration, how they made their videos, and they even toss a laugh in about Terri Gross and Tom Waits. 

It took 3 months of chaos to line up this conversation, and I was not dissapointed. VIVE THE NEW UP.
