In this episode, David, Danielle and Rachel discuss new guidance released by Quebec's privacy regulator on how organizations can ensure that they're complying with the new obligations introduced by Law 25 when obtaining consent from users to use or disclose their personal information, and how these obligations compare to similar provisions at the Federal level.

This panel discussion, led by Vancouver partner Jared Bachynski, considers how search-based acquisitions are typically completed, with close attention to the issues that arise once a deal has been identified and after the transaction has closed. A sampling of these include:

In a self-funded process, when to approach investors;

Potential roles for investors (e.g. as board members vs. non-director mentors);
