R. L’Heureux Lewis-McCoy, an associate professor of sociology and black studies at the City College of New York, outlines the way both gender and class are under-addressed in U.S. educational policy and public conversations pertaining to African-Americans. His talk, titled “Still Left Behind: Gender and Class Exclusion in the Pursuit of African-American Educational Justice,” is part of the New Directions in African Diaspora Lecture Series.
