The debate over who is the greatest basketball player of all time between Michael Jordan and LeBron James was re-energized after the release of the 10-part documentary “The Last Dance,” focusing on Jordan’s career with the Chicago Bulls and the lead up to his sixth and final NBA title during the 1997-98 season. For those who grew up or simply lived through the Jordan era of the 1980s and 90s, it was peak nostalgia, but also a reminder that His Airness still holds the crown and not King James.
 
My guest today is a good friend of mine, Noah Northcott-Grant, a teacher in Baltimore, Maryland. We went to college together and since he’s an avid basketball fan and wonk, I could think of no one better to join me and talk about it.
 
On today’s show, we’re going to examine the Jordan-LeBron GOAT debate, how “The Last Dance” came to be, and how different the NBA has become over the years.
