Kubernetes External Secret (KES) was built by Godaddy and was one of the most used external secrets operators for integrating your external secrets with Kubernetes. But it has been deprecated on Nov 2022 and the repository is publicly archived. It's not recommended to use outdated tools that might result in some security threats. The talk would be focused on using External Secret Operator that helps you get your external secrets from maybe, AWS Secret Manager, Hashicorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, etc, and integrate that into your Kubernetes applications. The speaker will demonstrate how you can third-party vaults with Kubernetes in the easiest possible way.
