You can love the work and still need a different way to carry it.
A lot of high-capacity people do not realize something is wrong because nothing has collapsed. You are still producing. Still serving. Still showing up. But sometimes your ability to keep functioning is exactly what makes the leak harder to see.
In this conversation with Dr. Sha'Rose Erion, pelvic floor physiotherapist, LGBTQ+ advocate, entrepreneur, and leader, we talk about what happens when rest becomes a reward, when temporary pressure quietly becomes your normal life, and when the people around you start managing your capacity for you.
We also explore something Dr. Sha'Rose understands from her work in the body: common does not mean healthy, and leaking is information. Sometimes the signal is not telling you to become stronger. It is telling you that something in the structure needs to change.
Your work can be working and still be costing you.
Still Yourself is part podcast, part public research project exploring what pressure does to leaders and what it takes to remain whole while building, serving, growing, and changing the world.

Some resumes tell the story of success. Others may also be records of survival.
After receiving a full scholarship and stipend to Vanderbilt, Sharona D. Henderson is confronted with a possibility she had rarely considered: what might she be capable of if she did not have to fight through unnecessary friction just to grow?
In this opening episode of Still Yourself, Sharona examines the relationship between ambition, pressure, achievement, and survival, and introduces the larger question behind the show: Are some high-capacity leaders thriving, or have they simply become exceptionally good at surviving?
It is the beginning of a public inquiry into leadership, wholeness, and what changes when the person carrying the mission matters too.
We built a world that rewards efficiency, availability and constant production. Then we created technology that can outperform us at much of the work we thought made us valuable.
Maybe that does not necessarily mean we are bad at being human. Maybe we have just spent too long trying to become better machines.
Still Yourself is part podcast, part public research project exploring what pressure does to leaders, what it takes to remain whole while building, growing and serving, and what becomes possible when ambition can be honest, integrated and human.
Hosted by Sharona D. Henderson.
