I was right.

Mike Borgonzi and Chad Brinker? They got it wrong.

As of today, there is no argument that backs the Titans’ decision to pass on Sam Darnold. Darnold wanted to come to Tennessee. He didn’t sign a massive free-agent deal. Minnesota explored trading him on the tag and found no takers. If I were running the Titans, Sam Darnold would be the quarterback.

Instead, the Titans drafted Cam Ward — a 3-win QB who finished dead last among qualifying quarterbacks in both PFF passing grade and QBR. Maybe Cam becomes Mahomes. Maybe Sam Darnold turns into a pumpkin. Maybe I become President in 2028. But today, the debate is over.
