32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. (The nation of Israel had fallen into a mindset of “we want to have a kingdom like Rome”… rather than Gods kingdom)  For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

 

Eat for the kingdom of God

Drink for the kingdom of God

Work for the kingdom

Play for the kingdom

Plan for the kingdom

Date and Marry for the kingdom 

Cover yourself with the kingdom of God (position and notoriety)

 

WE ARE IN A KINGDOM… WE HAVE A KING

 

My place in the kingdom means I am a citizen of the kingdom OF JESUS CHRIST, not the USA, not the Republican party, not the democratic party, 

MY IDENTITY IS NOT FOUND IN Green Peace, BLM, LGBQT, not the UMC any race or cause, not any denomination nor other entity - * I am a member of the Kingdom of God. Do you think Jesus cares more about the USA or the Kingdom of Christ? 

 

WE are told to seek first the kingdom of God

How do we seek the kingdom… we seek the King!

If you seek the Kingdom without seeking the king you are simply seeking a religion.

 

Seek GK - figure out the process he wants to use in this situation. Investigate deeply to see what he is doing. 

Present imperative ( this is a daily choice to be made)

Seek his righteousness - Seek the character of God, What would Jesus do… or more importantly what would the best Christ following version of me do? 

Seek his kingdom - his way of doing things

 

*This is a biblical concept we all need to understand and practice. 

 

Seek his kingdom first….

Seek his Righteousness Daily 

 

If I am stressed - Seek the kingdom

If I am in a relationship problem - STK

If I am in need financially - STK

If I have a life question needing to be answered - STK

 

What does the Kingdom say about this issue?

Seek it! 

 

 

Every day the enemy has things set up to make us anxious, worried, distracted… What would I need to do to plan the perfect week in advance to distract you.

(money problems, car problems, spousal problems, kid problems, Work problems, health problems, a negative word spoken, gossip, belittled, dismissed by someone etc…)

 

 

Jesus is not saying don’t think about the future… absolutely we should plan, pray and prepare for the future… Jesus commands it as we head into the end times. But we plan with the kingdom practices in mind, with the kingdom values in place. 

 

 

Notice then that Jesus is not suggesting but commanding all citizens of the Kingdom of heaven who still live on earth to cease making material things the center of their life ("stop worrying" Mt 6:25-32). AND Instead the believer's lifelong pursuit is not for things but the presence, pleasure and Person of Jesus Christ our Lord and our King ("kingdom" always indicates a “king")

YOUR THOUGHTS CREATE FEELINGS…

Feelings create emotions, 

emotions create states, 

states create moods, 

Moods create mindsets, 

mindsets create personalities. 

Your personality creates your ACTIONS IN life! *YOU MUST LEARN TO CONTROL YOUR FEELINGS TO CONTROL YOUR LIFE - You control your feelings by controlling where you turn first… but the danger is we typically allow in what we feel, or what we feel we deserve, or what we have been programmed to feel! If you choose to live by your feelings you choose to live as a victim.
