This week, Dennis Voznesenski, CBA’s Agricultural Economist, interviews Stockyard CEO Lisa Sharp. Stockyard is a Wagyu and Angus beef business based in Queensland. It operates across much of the beef supply chain, from breeding and feeding cattle through to exporting beef. At any given time, Stockyard’s Kerwee Feedlot can have up to 20,000 cattle on feed. Its export markets include Japan, South Korea, the Middle East, the domestic Australian market and other parts of Asia. Dennis and Lisa sit down to discuss seasonal conditions, export markets and cattle breeds.
