Listen Later

Many of us have experienced it. Feeling stress from a situation or a series of events starts to affect us. One of the effects is a headache.

Headaches are one of the bodily responses to stress. Tension headaches are dull pain, tightness, or pressure around your forehead or the back of your head and neck.

Stress and increased frequency of headaches seems to be a given association. After all, stress does cause changes to our body and brain that can favor the development of headaches, so it isn’t farfetched to regard stress as one of your triggers.

The practice of Stoicism can be seen as a measure to prevent stress. It is through its teachings a course of action to find tranquility and living a happy life even through suffering. When stress starts affecting you with headaches it is a sign that things are affecting you.

It takes discipline and self-control to have a happy life.

Luckily, salvation may come by helping reduce the effects of stress, as the frequency of headaches decrease once the stress response is eliminated.
