Enchiridion 24 shows errors in thinking that we have fears and worries about being seen as nobody. We put ourselves down and have a false sense that we need recognition. This is not a realistic viewpoint as we need to make choices and actions that define our reputation. Value is located with us. We cannot do things that affect our integrity. If we lack self respect we can be manipulated. It can also lead to codependent relationships.
This is defined as Excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a partner, typically a partner who requires support due to an illness or addiction. It also a sign of false hope that if we can control them long enough to be able to fix their problems, then ours will magically disappear as well. But the truth is this relationship becomes damaging, one-sided.
