Fear arises when you’re at your most vulnerable. It roots itself deep within you, telling stories that seem so real that your body responds as if it is true. It can be such a visceral feeling that at times you’d rather just accept it than actually challenge its presence. It’s a given that fear is part of the human experience. It’s a primal instinct that served us as cave dwellers and still serves us today. But, maybe it’s not fear itself that you should be afraid of, but how you carry this fear. Because fear will always be a part of your life, but that doesn’t mean you have to let it become a debilitating and paralyzing force.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, what if you change your whole perspective surrounding fear? What if you turn fear into a motivator? Understand that not all fear is bad. Understand that your fears are real to you. Your body is alerting you to something that is wrong and this shouldn’t be ignored. The challenge becomes learning how to identify the type of fear you experience. In the words of Albert Einstein, “You cannot solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” This means you can’t conquer fear form a place of fear. You have to get to know it, appreciate it for what it is and does for you, then take the necessary steps that lead in the direction of love and fulfillment.
