Because we think there is no consequence or because we take Abba's love for granted, so many of us have become very comfortable and complacent in sin. This episode is meant to remind us to grow closer to the LORD and leave our sinfulness behind. This is important because we can not live a life that pleases the LORD when we live in sin. Sin separates us from the love of God.
