So many of us (especially if you have been socialized as a woman) want people to think we are nice - but the problem is that our "nice communication" is often misinterpreted. Our messages get blurred and team members don't know what is expected, which creates confusion and can lead to tension in the relationship. It is actually kind to be direct and tell people what we want - the problem is, sometimes we have no idea what that is!
