Jeanette's daughter, Pearly turns 18 and graduates high school all at the same time.  So the stress and anxiety of no longer receiving financial help from Pearly's dad officially starts to take a toll on Jeanette. The muchachas talk about how they don't understand why most father's believe or feel that they no longer require to do their part as a parent when the child turns 18.
