Hey Everybody! Thanks for coming and checking out my podcast! Today I am sharing the lessons I learned from not hitting the summit on my Hike up to Cucamonga Peak to get my book cover photo.! I spent over 9.5 hours on that trail and still didn't get my photo. I was so disappointed that I didn't get the photo for my book, that totally discredited the journey of the entire hike! That I made it higher than I ever had. The dangers of hiking in snow on the side of the mountain where I couldn't see the trail. Fighting time so that I could get back down the mountain before the sun set. I felt like a failure because I didn't summit and I was so close reaching 8200 ft elevation of the 8866 ft at peak. And I did that ALONE! I was hiking somewhere that I had no clue if I was going in the right direction or not... Alone! And I did it! I found my way back out of the trail without getting lost. ALL of those are wins!
We all have times in life where we want a goal so bad that we don't celebrate the wins that we have along the journey. I dive in deep today to address this by calling myself out and showing you that we are all human and we can accomplish great things if we will learn that if we focus on celebrating the Journey, the Destination will be even better than we thought it would before we got there!
I would love to hear your thoughts or any questions you have. Don't forget to hit that Subscribe button so you don't miss an episode and if it so moves you I would love it if you left me a rating and a comment on iTunes!
Thank you guys so much! I love you to the moon and back!
