In this episode, we discuss how doing the seemingly "right" things in regards to weight loss may be leading many of us astray. Should you do tons of steady state cardio to lose body fat? Should you endure really rigid diets in order to attain the body you've always been after? Maybe not. We talk about some misconceptions as well as give advice on what can be more effective and sustainable long-term.
Sometimes, we assume doing the right things means torturing ourselves. We think we need to do hours of cardio each day, and succumb to really rigid and restrictive diets. But what if none of the traditional things we've been told our whole lives works?
It's necessary to be kind to ourselves on our health journeys. We must find what works for us. We shouldn't be trying to starve ourselves thin. We shouldn't be attempting to burn an extra 1,000 calories a day on the treadmill.
We aim to give some practical tools and ideas in this episode, the practices that actually work.
