Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason.
Today we’re in Romans 12:17-21, and the message is simple but powerful: get over it.
Life will bring hurt, offense, disappointment, betrayal, and moments where people treat you unfairly. Someone will leave you out. Someone will say something wrong. Someone may even lie about you. The real question is not whether those moments will come. The question is what you are going to do when they do.
This episode reminds us that God has called us to live above offense, not buried in it. Romans 12 tells us not to repay evil for evil, not to take revenge, and not to be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good.
That does not mean what happened was okay. It means you refuse to let it control your future.
When you hold on to bitterness, anger, and hurt, it keeps you stuck. But when you give it to God, let Him handle it, and choose to move forward, you step back into peace, purpose, and strength. Sometimes getting over it is the very thing that opens the door for God to take you higher.
You are the head and not the tail. You are called to rise above the hurt, not live underneath it.
