As complicated as it may seem, your hair is YOUR hair and Black women shouldn't be shamed into accepting their hair as unruly! Black and biracial women with kinky/coily hair were (and still are) tasked with "taming" the way their hair grows. Why is that an expectation? How did that even come about in the first place? Was it because it was considered not manageable or was it because their hair is just simply misunderstood.
