Song title explanation for “Like I’m Coming from Every Pore”
When I was young, I read a book in the library in my home town that had a description of someone injecting Peruvian marching powder intravenously. She said it felt like “Coming from every pore.”
It was spelled “coming” not “cumming”, and I thought it meant “arriving from every pore” which I liked the sound of. I didn’t know what “cumming” meant yet.
MICROTONAL INFO:
“Mister Bristle’s Eerie Spleen” has 19-TET melody / solos over a mostly 12-TET song.
“Snorting Forbidden Crystalline Nebulium Sulfate” is in Just Intonation, Euler’s Monochord (a mode of Ellis’s duodene), genus [33355] to be specific.
(FROM GROK): “Euler’s concept of the monochord originates from his 1739 treatise Tentamen novae theoriae musicae, where he explored musical scales as divisions of a single string (the monochord) into harmonic intervals based on rational ratios, primarily using prime factors 2, 3, and 5. He classified these divisions into genera (or genera musici), which are finite sets of pitches forming a closed system under octave equivalence. Each genus is notated as a bracketed sequence of interval steps, such as [55] for the diatonic genus or [35] for a simpler 5-limit structure.”
Here’s how it differs from 12-TET
