in this episode, i speak on the idea that we want others to wake up from their toxic cycles because we truly care about them - however, this is not true. in truth, we want others to do this because we do not want to sit with the discomfort that comes with the other person being right where they are, and the boundaries we might have to enforce as a result. If we can sit and accept them right where they are without trying to change them, we can be objective, place boundaries, and remove ourselves from the enmeshment that comes with the desire for anyone else to be anywhere other than right where they are.
