Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across East Texas before coming to an end by midnight night. A backdoor cold front will bring cooler and near-normal temperatures to the area for the rest of the week. While we will have a daily chance for rain over the next 7 to 10 days, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday look to be the wettest days of the forecast. High pressure will return by the middle of next week, mostly bringing an end to the rain and driving highs back into the mid 90s.
