Today’s guest is an Entrepreneur and CEO, Martin Ekechukwu. Martin is paving the way for black and brown executives in advertising - an industry that has faced a lot of criticism in recent years, with not a lot of action, for its many diversity issues.
Martin is CEO of WHTWRKS Inc. of one of the only black-owned advertising and marketing agencies helping major brands like Burger King, Dorito’s #BLM campaign, Nissan, and more, tell stories that authentically represent, speak to, and are made by black and brown people.
Despite being a collaborative and humble leader, he’s faced a lot of adversity over the course of his career, which includes years advising Def Jam records and working alongside the likes of Janet Jackson and Sean “Diddy” Combs, launching several other startups, and guiding WHTWRKS clients through one of the most challenging years marketers have ever experienced.
