Today's games have some pretty immersive storytelling in them (Marvel's Guardians of the galaxy was just voted "Best Narrative" in a game for 2021.  This wasn't always the case with video games.  We compare storytelling in games from the '80s and '90s when the technology limited how developers could include story elements in the games themselves.
