What is it about those moments that makes someone's eyes light up?
Storytime with Shikha — From love. For love.
A dusty road. A few children walking home from school. And a stone for each of them.
No rules. No winners. Just a little game that made an ordinary walk their own.
Storytime with Shikha — From love. For love.
Same joy. Different people. Different places.
Sometimes, the things we love don't disappear. They simply find new ways to be part of our lives.

There's a Shawn Mendes song that always makes me smile.
Not because of the music, but because of one particular line.
And every time, I come back to the same question.
Surely you've got something better than that?
Storytime with Shikha — From love. For love.
Growing up, I often heard couples who had been married for years say, “We're complete opposites! Opposites attract!”
And I always wondered... do they?
Are we really opposites? Or do we simply enjoy the same things in wonderfully different ways?
Storytime with Shikha — From love. For love.
My mother taught me many things in the kitchen. But one tiny instruction stayed.
Every time I reach for the turmeric, I hear her voice.
It's strange how people stay with us—not always in big memories, but in the ordinary things they once taught us.
For me, it's turmeric.
What is it for you?

A bright blue school bag. Yellow straps. A lunchbox stain. Pencil crumbs in the corners.
Some things stay with us long enough to collect pieces of our ordinary lives.
What are you keeping? And what is it keeping for you?
Storytime with Shikha — From love. For love.
There is a story I read as a child whose title I can't remember.
Almost thirty years later, whenever I find myself walking alone in strong wind, they come back to me.
Sometimes all that's left is a picture, a character, a sentence... or simply a feeling.
What story do you still carry with you?

The one time I made it to a Sports Day final, I missed the whistle.
I did eventually run. I even came home with a bronze medal.
But years later, the medal isn't what I remember.
Sometimes you think you're going to remember the race.
And years later, you remember who was watching.

A little boy. A mountain. And a story I believed completely.
When I was in Grade One, my dad told me about Dhruv—a boy who lived inside a mountain we passed every morning on the way to the school bus.
Years later, I still remember him.
In the first episode of Storytime with Shikha, I go back to that little mountain in Rajasthan, and to one of my earliest memories of discovering what a story can do to our imagination.
Maybe we never stopped needing storytime. We just stopped calling it that.
