Seattle Seahawks began the Mike McDonald and Ryan Grubb era with a 26-20 win over Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. It was an ugly start for Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and the offense. However Boye Mafe, Tyrel Dodson, Julian Love, Leonard Williams, Tariq Woolen, Rayshawn Jenkins, Devon Witherspoon, Jerome Baker, Derrick Hall all had their moments in shoring up the defense. The second half finally saw success from Ken Walker and Tyler Lockett, with a couple catch from Jaxon Smith Njigba. Jonathan Cooper was stellar for Denver, with Courtland Sutton doing what he could. Sean Payton may have a choice at QB, whether to stay with Nix, or give Stidham or Zach Wilson a shot.
