Straight From The Off welcomes James Olsen to the Podcast. Jay was one of the stand out players at his age group playing for Merton Villa and was snapped up by Everton. He then moved onto Liverpool were he would turn Pro. Jay tells us what it was like playing for Liverpool and how he had to move on when John Aldridge wanted him at Tranmere Rovers. Whilst at Tranmere Rovers during pre season, Jay had terrible luck in a training incident that resulted in broken bones in his neck and a large period of time out of the game. He tells us about the lows that followed and how he had to recover mentally as well as physically. Jay talks about his the other clubs he has played for, his coaching, his favourite goals, games and all about the lads he shared a pitch with and played against and coached throughout those times.
