Straight From The Off welcomes Paul Orr to the Podcast. The former Holy Name, Fantail, Kirkby Town and Knowsley United manager tells us his story, and that of the teams he has managed. Paul was the first manager to win back to back FA Sunday Cups, doing so with Fantail FC in the early 80’s. Winning the National Cup is an unbelievable achievement in itself, and retaining it was even better! Paul based his managerial style on the famous ‘Boot Room’ men of Liverpool FC, particularly Bob Paisley and Joe Fagan and his style brought much success to all the teams he has been involved with. He Tells us how his family helped build up Kirkby Town FC and then Knowsley United which even gained his team a place on Match Of The Day for an FA Cup tie at Goodison Park. He tells us about his favourite games, goals and all about the lads he has managed and came up against throughout those times.
