The Reluctant Historian

Stranded on Isle Royale: The Story of Angelique and Charlie Mott

Listen Later

This week Liz and Dakota look at what happened when two individuals were forgotten on an island in the middle of Lake Superior.  Left to their own devices for ten months in the dead of winter, would they make it out unharmed? This episode is neat, because we get to hear the story from the survivor’s point of view.  Liz shares a newspaper clipping - the only recorded evidence - that shares Angelique’s story in her own words.
