After witnessing members of his family spend time incarcerated, Marron Thomas determined not to travel down that path. However, the idea of having money led to a life of dealing drugs. Marron was eventually arrested with a load of pot and a couple of guns in a drug deal raided by Police. Marron recalls a judge’s verdict that forever changed his life. We will talk about that change and how he’s motivating urban youth through the Leadership Empowerment Center, a non-profit that serves hundreds of youths of the North Memphis-Frayser community, where Marron is the Executive Director. Additionally, for the past eight years, Marron is the lead pastor of the Innovation Church; a ministry that he and his wife Tori founded.
