Isaiah 40:31 gives us one of the most familiar promises in Scripture:

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

But this promise isn't just about soaring like an eagle. It's about learning to depend on the God who never grows weary.

In this message, we look at the full context of Isaiah 40 and see that before God promises renewed strength, He reminds us who He is. He is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth, and the One who fainteth not, neither is weary.

When our strength runs out, His strength doesn't. When we feel faint, weary, burdened, or spiritually exhausted, God calls us to wait upon Him. Waiting on the Lord isn't giving up. It isn't doing nothing. It's trusting His timing, depending on His strength, staying faithful while He works, and expecting Him to keep His promises.

This sermon is a reminder that we don't have to live on our own strength. Through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost, God gives strength to the faint, lifts us above the storm, helps us keep running, and gives us grace to keep walking without fainting.
