When Christians talk about hope, we don't mean that warm feeling of well-wishing that our favorite football team will win or that we might have tacos on Tuesday. Hope for the Christian is a deep conviction in the God of the Bible and that all of his promises will be confirmed in the end. This hope leads us to live differently. We don't live for the here and now only, but we live in the here and now with an eternal perspective. There are many times when our hope is threatened or may wane, but we can strengthen our hope in the community of God, and with the Word of God.
