By taking care of yourself and having a healthy mind you're able to serve your cause, your people, your community more effectively, compassionately, and authentically.


Bio: Frida Soerensen has a Graduate Diploma in Counseling and Human Services through La Trobe University in Melbourne Australia. She was trained as a meditation teacher at the Australian Centre for Meditation & Mindfulness and has over 10 years of personal yoga and meditation practice. 


After struggling with chronic anxiety and near-burnout during her 10 years of social work in, she realized that she couldn’t continue to offer support to her colleagues and clients if she didn’t make her own health a priority.  So she went on a quest to get help and in the process formed powerful and transformational allies in yoga, meditation & mindfulness. 


She took a bold step by changing careers and moving back to her childhood home in the Philippines. From there, she shares the tools and practices that have allowed her to live with more calm, purpose, and resilience. Although she encourages others to take a step back from their hectic, stress-filled lives to embrace a calmer, more balanced existence, she encourages them to still chase their career dreams, but to not lose sight of the other important aspects of their lives such as their relationships, health, and the things that make them happy. She is here to help us explore the topic of meditation and how it can help us live a calmer life.
